Each kit contains three sardines, each with its own unique design, hand screenprinted onto 100% wool felt in three cheerful colours. Once finished, charming sardines make perfect gifts for seaside lovers and look fab displayed in frames, swimming in shoals, or peeking out of a tin.

Everything you need is included to bring your sardines to life: an illustrated stitch guide and instruction booklet, embroidery needles, DMC threads including metallic Diamant thread for extra shimmer, plus glass beads and reclaimed sequins to add that perfect sparkle. There’s even a handy pokey stick to help with stuffing.

You will need:

All you’ll need to provide is your own embroidery scissors and stuffing – we recommend using scrap fabric such as old cotton sheets for a lovely weighty finish that’s kinder to the planet too.

Ability: Ideal for beginners and beyond. With no fiddly transfers needed, you can get stitching straight away onto the pre-printed designs. You choose how much to embellish and which stitches to use, making each sardine your own unique creation. When finished, simply cut around the clear dashed line to complete your ornament.

Designed and produced in South East London, each sardine is screenprinted using eco-friendly water-based inks onto Oeko-Tex and EN71 approved 100% wool felt. The beads are glass, and the sequins are sustainably sourced – either deadstock or from vintage traders.
